"My 21-year-old daughter, who is a med student, was babysitting my 18-month-old. She heard some commotion outside our flat and needed to assist someone who needed emergency medical care - he had hit his head and was seizing. She was so impressed by the baby carrier - it took no instructions, and she put it on for the first time in under a minute She attended to the man bending down with the baby on her back she felt secure and comfortable. She told me about the adventure afterwards and she said “tell them i give that baby carrier a five star review!”"

Perfect for my toddler

"Love this, my daughter is nearly 4 and around 16kg. I want to go on walks where I cant take the pram and I know she will need carrying some of it. This is great. Super comfy. Nice on the back. Feel well supported and she loves going into it. Was also glad to see that the grey mesh on this picture was actually all dinosaur print, so no grey box at all, just the same material (but mesh)."

Quality in every stitch

"I was hesitant to spend money on yet another carrier but I knew I needed to try something because my knees, back, and arms were really strained with carrying my toddler and bags, etc. When this arrived, the quality was apparent. Mesh fabric looked sturdy yet breathable and washable too! The real impressive parts were the small but gamechanging details like the extra padding where the child's legs rest to avoid pinching. . . and the sewn-in elastic bands to hold excess strap ends. Excellent forethought!"

The best purchase!

"My toddler never liked to be worn as a baby so I do not have much experience with carriers besides hiking packs. My plan was to buy this for hiking since she is now at the age where she wants to get down and walk sometimes. However, this thing has literally changed my life! We’ve used it at concerts, to take the dog for a walk, farmers markets. It makes me so excited to do things I would dread bringing a stroller to. It is comfortable and super easy to get her into."

Too big for 20 mo in 2T

"My daughter fit the length and weight of the toddler size, but the panel is so roomy that she was able to lean back and squirm around (this feeling heavier). The length knee to knee was just barely too long but she could fit. Idk if the mesh affected the snugness of the panel, making it more loose, but I have to return this. I love the print though, and it looked and felt great on."

Q&A

My baby is 6 months old but is already 11.4kgs and 70cm tall and is quickly getting bigger. Is there any point getting the free to grow when the toddler carrier would last longer for us?
Our Toddler Carris is much larger than our Free-too-Grow carrier (even when on the largest setting), and we don't usually recommend sizing up until your child is wearing 2T pants for the length. Even though your baby is hitting the maximum weight limit for the Toddler, based on their age and development, we would recommend either the FTG or Standard carrier. Both of these can be used until 45 pounds. The FTG is similar in fit and size to the Standard when it is on its largest setting. Choosing between the two will depend on many factors, but ultimately this would be a personal preference. The Tula Toddler Carrier is for children from 11 kg – 27 kg and a minimum of 81 cm tall. For most children this corresponds with an age range of 2 - 6 years. The Toddler Tula measures approximately 46 cm tall and 45,5 cm wide at the base. The Free-To-Grow Baby Carrier measurements are: Depending on the snap setting, the seat panel width is adjustable from 20,5 cm – 37 cm. The maximum height of the panel is 44,7 cm.
